Living on the west coast
The west coast of Mallorca is rugged, wild and beautiful.
Here, the highest peaks of the Tramuntana fall steeply into the sea and charming mountain villages nestle like pearls along the legendary West Coast Road - one of the most beautiful coastal roads in Europe.
Anyone who owns a property on the west coast of Mallorca is looking for the tranquillity and unspoilt nature of the island. And they find it. Mostly in a traditional finca, lovingly renovated and surrounded by Mediterranean flora.
A picture book life.
Deià - Where tradition meets cosmopolitan flair
The artists' village of Deià is only a 10-minute drive from the tourist hotspot of Valldemossa and a good 50 minutes from Palma de Mallorca. Like something out of a picture book, the ancient village with its narrow streets and church is enthroned on a promontory above the sea. Olive groves surround the village and a small road leads down to the popular bay of Cala Deià, where various Hollywood films have already been shot.
Mostly thanks to the artists and the luxury hotel La Residencia, Deiá has been developed into an international place where quaint inns can be found next to upscale trattorias. The perfect blend of traditional village and international flair against the impressive backdrop of the Tramuntana make Deiá one of the most sought-after places for real estate on the west coast of Mallorca.
Sóller - Dedicated to oranges
Thanks to the tunnel - Only 35 minutes separate Palma de Mallorca from the orange valley of Sóller. And yet there are two worlds in between. Here the lively metropolis, there the quiet country life with its typical island fincas. And in the middle of it all, Sóller, situated in a valley basin in front of Mallorca's highest mountain - the Puig Major. Sóller stands for the the legendary railway, oranges, olive oil and the popular ice cream from "Fet a Soller".
If you fall in love with the impressive mountain scenery and want to inhale the scent of orange blossoms every day, there is no way around a property in Sóller: a stylishly renovated townhouse with own garden or a country house on the outskirts of the village, in the surrounding villages of Fornalutx and Biniairaix, or a modern villa in Puerto de Sollér. The coastal town scores with a fine sandy beach, a beautiful sea promenade and numerous restaurants as well as international hotels.
Let yourself be enchanted by the west coast. From breathtaking mountains, picture-book villages that are among the most beautiful in Spain, and flora that could hardly be more impressive on Mallorca. And all this just a short drive from the airport, international clinics and shopping centres. Paradise could hardly be closer.
